Riders Upgrading or Downgrading for 2010 season
Clarification of the upgrading rule the PDF covering upgrading/downgrading can be found here
In the Novice and Intermediate classes only, for SE Championship Trials, should any rider win 3 qualifying best in class awards, they must upgrade at the end of the season or remain in the class and clearly specify on the entry form that they are riding 'for no points or award'
A rider may win a SE Championship but that does not automatically upgrade them, it is by winning 3 qualifying best in class awards
Having won 3 best qualifying awards a rider may choose to upgrade themselves before the end of the season if they wish
Intermediate Class winner Gary Roberts has not won 3 best qualifying awards and can remain in the Intermediate class for points and awards in 2010
Novice Class winner Richard Lewis winning more than 3 best qualifying awards will upgrade to Intermediate for points and awards or can continue in the Novice class on a strict no points/awards basis.
Robert Rout has downgraded from the Intermediate class to the Novice class.
The Combine Groups within the SE Centre may have different rules covering their own championship series
